KUMBなんかでも賛否の出てる話なんですが、先のラムズ戦で味方に対するサポのブーイングが起こってるんです。一番目立ったのは90分にボアが入った時らしいんだけど、カーブスに対するブーイングや悪意あるチャントも起こってる様子。まあこの試合だけのことではなくて、この頃ずっとそうらしい。
成績がよくない以上、サポの不満はわかるし、ブーイングやチャントもサッカーの一部だから、それ自体はある程度流す的なことをカーブスも話してる。でもハムサポはどっちかいうと元々が評判悪いからなあ*1……もちろん、良識あるサポもたくさんいて、KUMBなんかでもブーイングを憂いている書き込みは多いんだけど。
で、本題。レポの枕になっているのは、ボアに対してのものじゃなくて、シアーズを下げてカールトン・コールを入れたカーブスの策に対して出た、"you don't know what you're doing" ってチャント。このことについては、たぶん話を振られたから話し始めたんだとは思うけど、一度触れ始めたら最後、言葉丁寧にきっちり掘り下げて話すカーブスなので*2、こうやって一本のレポになるだけのボリュームになる。まあ、この件に関しては、代えたコールが決勝点を決めた今がいいタイミングでもあるんだよね。言うべきことは言ってるって感じ。「サポの反応に“選手たちは”がっかりしている」だとかね。

Alan Curbishley appealed to West Ham fans for more appreciation of their achievements this season after his side were booed off at the end of their 2-1 win over relegated Derby.
Disgruntled West Ham fans also chanted: 'You don't know what you're doing' in the 75th minute when Curbishley replaced young striker Freddie Sears with Carlton Cole.But Curbishley was vindicated two minutes later when Cole fired the winner from a cross by Freddie Ljungberg.
Bobby Zamora had given West Ham a 20th-minute lead with a close-range header but Tyrone Mears levelled for the rock-bottom Rams in the 64th minute.
The criticism stung clearly stung Curbishley who called on the club's fans to show more realism over a season that has seen his squad ravaged by injuries and illness.
"We are delighted to get the result," said Curbishley. "But I am a bit disappointed because there has not been too much appreciation of what has gone and what we have had to put up with this year.
"I don't think there is much appreciation going on at the moment and I can't do too much about that.
"The players are very disappointed with it. But I know what happens here. You put the results together and it turns the other way.
"When the team is winning, people don't like coming here because of the backing we get.
"When they are not happy they let you know. But surely there has got to be some realism and appreciation of what has happened to us this year week-in, week-out we've been under the cosh.
"I have been very appreciative of the players who have been playing because we have had loads of problems. We've had players missing all year and I think we had 14 out today.
"If it is not good enough for some people then we have just got to get on with it, I can't do anything about it.
"That sortof chant is common place up and down the country and it is not the best of chants if you are the manager I must admit.
"We've just got to get on with it and it can turn around as quickly as it happens. I am disappointed with the reaction and the lack of appreciation.
"The season has been one of frustration for everyone. It has been a catalogue of disasters. I felt we needed a bit more up front and I am pleased that Cole came on and got the goal.
"But I have been around long enough to realise if they are not happy here they will let you know."
で、これが今またサポ間で話題になってる。
怪我人の多発をカーブスの責任とするか否かってところも大きいんだけど、アンチ派にとっては、それ以上にカーブス采配への不満が根本にある感じかな。「怪我怪我言ってるけど、そもそも怪我人以前に、カーブス自身が無策な監督じゃないか」みたいな。だから、"you don't know what you're doing" なんてチャントも出るわけで。
あとは「ハムをチャールトンにするのは止めてくれ」的なもので（おいこら）、お約束なんだけど「おもしろさを追求しない」とか「所詮ミスター・アベレージ」とか。
極端な人はやっぱり、来季はもう既にカーブスじゃないはずと言ってるし、そこまで極端ではない人も、カーブスの真価は来季の始め10試合くらいで見極めるべきだと主張していたりする。でも、傍目には前の年に残留争いをやってたクラブが、いきなりおもしろさを追求してどうするって思うし*4、ここまで持ち直してるだけでも上出来だと思うけどなあ。まいいや。もちろん、向こうにもそういう見解のサポはいるし、ネットではこっちの方が多数派だと思う。
個人的には、まずこの主力メンバーの離脱ラッシュでこの成績残してるのは、よくやってるとは思うよ。ただ、采配やゲームプランはどうなのといわれたら、たしかにそこで監督が目立つタイプではないねという見解。アディックス時代の組織サッカーはちょっとおいておくとして、今のカーブスはどっちかというと、選手になにかを強いるというんではなくて、選手の個性や適性をうまく組み合わせようとする指揮官だと思う。無策であることが策であるような。その点では選手に嫌われる監督ではないかなと（逆にへんなカリスマなんかもないだろうけど）。
まあそれにしても、今季はさすがに主力の駒が少なすぎるでしょ。入れ替わり立ち代わりでいなくなるってんじゃ正直、策のプランも立たない。ほんと、昨シーズンのローダー並ではないかと。
